Who we are

The people behind Temenos.

Sam — Facilitation & ecocultural design

Sam

Facilitation & ecocultural design

Sam co-creates residency programs with the Retribalize team and facilitates across a wide ecology of practices: Circling, Authentic Relating, somatic therapy, breathwork, meditation, and ritual. His interests run from meaning-making and the wisdom traditions to the systemic drivers of the metacrisis, depth psychology, and indigenous ways of knowing; the writers he keeps closest include John Vervaeke, Daniel Schmachtenberger, Carl Jung, Nora Bateson, and Tyson Yunkaporta. The recurring thread in his work is translation: taking complex frameworks and turning them into something a group can actually practice together.

Aidan — Holistic health, martial arts & spirituality

Aidan

Holistic health, martial arts & spirituality

Aidan is a martial artist, coach, and YouTuber whose days are built outdoors where possible: training, moving, cooking slow meals from whole ingredients, filming some of it as he goes. He treats movement as a way of listening to the body and play as a discipline in its own right, and he can feed a full house from scratch. By popular acclaim, everything about being around Aidan will make you feel happier, calmer, and more embodied.

Rafael — Engineering, mythology & symbolic craft

Rafael

Engineering, mythology & symbolic craft

Rafael is an engineer who decides fresh each day what he wants to make. He loves fairy tales, scripture, poems, and movies; in conversation he is direct and a little irreverent, with a habit of saying the simple thing everyone else was circling. His guiding philosophy is to seek the Kingdom of God above everything else, hold everything lightly, and give the entangling mind nothing to grip.

Lucas — Technology & community partnerships

Lucas

Technology & community partnerships

Lucas is a co-founder at Retribalize, where he handles the technology and many of the relationships with communities and landholders. His background is in jazz music and theater, and he is interested in taking the rehearsal techniques of those disciplines and applying them to personal and community development.
